
The Car of the Year jury has announced the cars that are now on their shortlist for Europe’s most prestigious automotive accolade - the 2011 Car of the Year Award.
Leading the short list is the Nissan LEAF and if it wins it will become the first time the award has gone to a pure electric vehicle.
The other cars shortlisted for the 2011 competition are the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Citroen C3/DS3, Dacia Duster, Ford C-Max, Opel/Vauxhall Meriva and Volvo S60/V60.
